Climate Change 101 : State Action

PropertyValue
NameClimate Change 101 : State Action
Release Year2009
Primary AuthorOrganization
DescriptionFor years, U.S. states and regions have been taking action to address climate change in the absence of federal leadership. A wide range of policies have been adopted at the state and regional levels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, develop clean energy resources, and promote more energy-efficient vehicles, buildings, and appliances, among other things. Although climate change will ultimately require a national and international response, the early actions taken by states and regions will continue to play an important role by developing and testing innovative solutions, demonstrating successful programs, and laying the groundwork for broader action.
